Joe Azar is a Lebanese-French writer, director and producer.

From Beirut to France, Joe’s journey has been defined by a relentless passion for the craft. His expertise is backed by a dual academic foundation: a Master’s in 3D Animation & VFX and an International Master’s in Media & Entertainment Management. From specialized workshops in screenwriting to advanced training in production administration, Joe has spent several years learning every facet of the industry.


Whether navigating the busiest film markets, working on the floor of a major animation studio, running an independent production or mentoring the next generation as a screenwriting and production instructor - Joe continues to evolve.


Today, he channels that collective expertise into Softlight Pictures.
